Building Elleville isn’t just coming up with disruptive ideas...

It’s also sorting through trash. Separating metal and plastics and wood, and…

…picking tiny styrofoam leftovers out of the earth. It’s very meditative, though :-).
And we’re figuring out with our suppliers how to package glass differently, going forward. Can’t meditate all day long.

It’s setting rules, and sticking to them….cause — REALLY clean your dishes!

(You know who you are! 😉)

And it’s getting s*tuff done. Of course. That, we’re really good at. Much better than doing the dishes.

It’s figuring things out…

Like, how to saw 80 boards of burnt wood cladding, with the right angle so water drops off — without robots and assembly lines, but somewhere close to the same speed. Or how to turn a ginourmous pile of woodchips into a biomeiler by…Saturday (This Saturday? Next Saturday ;-))

But above all, it’s the commitment to see this done

…and if that means sleeping wherever you can, cause you missed the last train back to Copenhagen and need to be on site early, anyway — then that’s that. Sleeping at the office, Hero-Level unlocked.

(BTW, Morten, Johannes came up with this really disruptive idea: Turns out our insulation material is not just fire-proof, but also makes for MUCH nicer bedding than the table. Just in case, you know…)

P.S.: That’s Johannes and Florijn getting started on the late shift, to get the cladding done before the rain starts. Commitment.
